Recently one of my guests asked me advice about what to do for Birthday Celebration in Playa Del Carmen. Inmediately I asked what kind of celebration she would like and she replied Fancy and Fun!
Well, there are many options about what to do in Playa del Carmen to celebrate anything. And other places are relatively close such as Cancun, Puerto Morelos, Tulum, Holbox etc…
My guest is a nice girl around her thirties just like my girlfriend. So we have decided to propose two options.
Daytrip to Tulum and Dinner at Ana y Jose
This idea was mine. I love Tulum is simply gorgeus so it makes me happy I go every time. I have been in the ruins many times. But as a turist I think is a must.
So I would divide my day in 3 activities.
- Going to the ruins
- Going to a beach club (Papaya Playa Project ) – IF Papaya Playa Project is close for any reason just keed driving. There are many good beach clubs.
- Dinner at Ana y Jose – This is my favorite restaurant of all Riviera Maya. The restarurant that I am speaking about is the one in Ana y Jose Hotel. There is also a restaurant called Cilantro of the same chain that I do not know.
After having dinner in Tulum you would need to drive back to Playa del Carmen. So someone would not be able to drive. Have that in mind because it makes less fun the night.
Stay around Playa del Carmen
You do not need a car to do this plan. There is a very special place and restaurant called “Alux” . Have you ever dine in a Cavern? Well this is your chance.
I think you have to make a reservation. After a nice and fancy dinner just go back to Playa to the 12th street or La Quinta to party.
